JAPANESE CHERRY BLOSSOMS
Spring has arrived early this year!
We celebrated by creating a Japanese landscape and cherry blossom trees.
The 4th grade class discussed the festival
that take place each year in
Washington D.C.
Then they looked at Hokusai’s landscapes of Mt. Fuji.
First they painted their landscape.
Then added the
cherry blossom trees with
a straw, paint, and air!
Lastly, students added the cherry blossoms
carefully with a q-tip.
